Gnostic Tolkienology
Gnostic Tolkienology is finding spiritual insight and mystical knowledge through the study of J.R.R. Tolkiens work. It is an umbrella terminology that encompasses all Spiritual Paths that use J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium as the basis for religious, spiritual.... gnostic insight; Gnosis through Faerie.
Gnostic Tolkienology could then (and probably should) be categorized as Neo-Gnostic Tolkienology. Neo in the fact that most material was published in the 1900's that is commonly used within Gnostic Tolkienology.
